Celine Dion’s Brother Suffering From Cancer, Has ‘Hours To Live’

According to report, Celine Dion’s elder brother named Daniel is battling with cancer and her has just ‘hours to live’.

Celine’s hubby Rene Angelil died on Thursday after losing the battle to cancer.

According to the singer’s sister, Claudette, “t’s very painful. It’s a matter of days or hours. It looks a lot like René, he had cancer of the throat, tongue and brain. Our family is very experienced”

Daniel, 59, is in the hospital in Celine’s native Montreal and surrounded by family including their 89 year old mom

Olusegun Obasanjo Graduates, Bags Master’s Degree in Theology

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, today in Abuja bagged a Master’s Degree in Theology at the fifth convocation of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Vincent Tenebe, said in his address at the ceremony that Obasanjo was among other notable Nigerians in the list of the 10,653 graduands in which 15 of them made first class honours.

Tenebe listed other outstanding graduands as the Emir of Hadejia, Jigawa State, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar and the traditional ruler of Awgu, Enugu State, Igwe Felix Okechukwu.

Others were over 70 years Rear Admiral Orisha, (Rtd), who bagged fist class in Mathematics and a
78-year-old, Chief Femi Balogun, who bagged LL.B from the School of Law.

The vice-chancellor also listed a blind student, Mr Obinna Bede, who bagged a Bachelor of Arts (English), degree and Udo Effiong, who had the highest cumulative point in first class grade of 4.71.

It is interesting to note that Obasanjo will be graduating with a Master’s Degree (MA-Christian Theology) having met the requirements for the award during this convocation.

“Having been given the admission to study MA/PhD in Christian Theology, Obasanjo will continue with his Ph.D fully. This is very unique considering his age and commitments; he also made a very good cumulative grade point,’’ the VC said.

Yoruba Legend/ Actress Daughter Pass Away.

The daughter of top Yoruba actress, Idowu Philip known as Iya Rainbow died this morning. Lola’s death is said to be linked to Complications that resulted from stomach ulcer.

Reports indicate that last night, Lola, Idowu Philips’ daughter was taken to a private clinic, Tomade Hospital, in Ojodu, Lagos, following ulcer complications, but she was declared dead this morning. The deceased had planned to travel to the United State today, before the sad occurrence.

She was accompanied to the hospital by her husband Osborne. Her body has been deposited at an Ikeja mortuary. The family is yet to release an official statement.

How Wizkid broke a bottle on Dammy Krane’s head at Quilox night Club[Full Gist]

The beef between Nigerian superstars Wizkid and Dammy Krane turned bloody and physical early this morning, January 15 at Club Quilox in Lagos.

Here’s how it all started.

Last night, Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins held an exclusive ‘All Black Party’ at Club Quilox on Victoria Island, Lagos and it was star-studded.

Pop stars like Tekno, Timaya, 2face Idibia, Sexy Steel, Skuki, Special Ed and many more were all in attendance. Apparently Dammy Krane was in the club as well.

Eye witnesses tell NET Dammy Krane got to the club a lot earlier before Wizkid came in around 4am.

Another source told us, ‘When Wizkid enterted the club, it seemed he saw Dammy Krane but didn’t go to meet him, then about 15 minutes later, it seemed Dammy was showing him some attitude, then Wizkid went to meet him. The next thing we saw everywhere had scattered. Wizkid broke a bottle on his head before bouncers separated them’.

Multiple eye witnesses say Wizkid clearly attacked first before bouncers tried to separate them. Then the club owner Shina Peller waded into the fight as well.

It is not clear if Dammy Krane was injured. ‘He took them to his office to settle it’, a guest told NET.

We learn that both parties then came downstairs, back to the club and acted as if nothing happened.
